Sarah's Christmas Poem
She’s the one that hangs back
The one that shies away
But she doesn’t wear black

She’s emo without the goth
And she’s innocent to the core
But she always rips the cloth

The lace, and the satin
It’s all drowned in tears
Her hands are shaking
But she doesn’t seem to fear

She doesn’t fear the past
And only the future
Her present swings by
And abandons the nurture

The lace, and the satin
It’s all drowned in tears
Her hands are shaking

And the floor is cold
This carpet is unfeeling
The font’s stuck in bold

She’s always yelling now, isn’t she?
Her mother, her father
She’s always number three

Her grades aren’t high
But they stand taller than most
But her brother’s so much older
And her sister loves to boast

Her friends, they watch
And they hate what they see
Their friend, so perfect
Being treated to this degree

She’s the one that hangs back
The one that shies away
But she doesn’t wear black.

She’s emo without the goth
But the lace, and the satin
It’s all drowned in tears.
